Product
Korekar is an explainable clinical decision support platform focused on medication safety. The first module targets anticoagulant-associated bleeding risk in older adults, where reduced kidney function and multiple medicines can increase harm.
What Korekar does
Inputs (prototype demonstration)
- Age
- Anticoagulant medicine (for example, warfarin or a direct-acting oral anticoagulant)
- Kidney function band (used as a proxy for dosing and monitoring prompts)
- Interacting medicines (for example, anti-inflammatory pain medicines, antiplatelet medicines, or strong enzyme inhibitors)
Outputs
- Risk tier (Low, Medium, High)
- Reason statements written in plain language (“why flagged”)
- Suggested review prompts (for example, “review dose and monitoring in reduced kidney function”)
Explainable logic (not a black box)
Korekar uses transparent, rule-based logic so that clinicians can see why a prompt appears. For kidney-related dosing prompts, the intended approach is to use the Cockcroft–Gault method to estimate creatinine clearance, which is commonly used for anticoagulant dosing decisions, rather than relying only on estimated glomerular filtration rate (a different kidney function estimate often shown in laboratory results).
What Korekar is not
- Not a diagnostic tool
- Not an autonomous prescriber
- Not medical advice
- Not a replacement for clinical judgement
Safety posture
Prototype demonstration only. Advisory clinical decision support. No patient data is collected or stored through this website. Clinicians remain responsible for all decisions.
